About

This profile is copied from Dan’s new blog:

I’m a postgraduate student and blogger from the UK. I spent a year or so living in France, and on my return felt that my writing skills needed a bit of polishing. In the last year of my Bachelors degree (Business Administration and French) I started a blog on WordPress.com to re-establish my depth of vocabulary, and chose to report on my studies of business combined with my passion for technology. I had no idea it would become such a feature in my life.

Through my blog, I’ve kept a log of trials and testing of new software, changes in the business world, and the cross over between tech and business. I’ve been privileged and blessed to have met many amazing people through my online life and I’ve loved every moment of it. I try to devote time on a weekly basis to post to three key blogs:

blog.mled.me – This blog hosts my serious commentary on business tech, and draws on my knowledge of business theory. After a year of using WordPress.com I felt it was time to spread my wings and purchase a domain of my own to continue the adventure. mled.me hosts a list of all my profiles and social media accounts that I keep updated.

open.mled.me – Illustrates my enjoyment of life on the web with posts of a slightly less serious nature. This Tumblr blog provides the opportunity for me to chronicle my day to day finds and thoughts, with absolutely no aim or agenda other than to just be open.

ThinkAboutTech.com – Collaboration at its finest, with input from tech industry specialists. This blog looks to promote detailed discussion on all things tech related and draw on the various expertise that each contributing writer brings to the table. I try to bring a business and end user focused approach to my opinions.

For my professional profile, you should look at my LinkedIn page. I love to chat on Twitter, so feel free to follow and say hi to @mled. I’m on several social networking sites, just search for monsieurledan or mled.

I’ve been asked several times where the name Monsieur le Dan comes from. I was given it as a nickname while living in France and running my own party/event organising company. It is just word play: the Americans call their president “Mr. President”, the French equivalent is “Monsieur le Président”, but I’m Dan – hence “Monsieur le Dan”.
